CRICKETY CLUB IN NASSAU

Bar and Restaurant in Nassau, Bahamas

For the best, friendly bar in Nassau, come to the Cricket Club, off Bay St. in Nassau. Come by and hoist a few pints with the spirited local Gooseberries!!

Want Brit food? Bangers and Mash? Kidney Pie? Are you sick yet? Do you think you are a little bonkers to see white guys in funny white clothes running around with sticks? Think you woke up in the wrong neighborhood? Well you have, but enjoy the food and drink at this great virtual oasis until you can get the hell out of the hellhole known as Nassau!

It is toward Cable Beach, on West Bay Road, just past Arawak Cay on the left. 242-326-4720 cricketman2003@yahoo.com

Fancy a spot of tea or some Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding while watching your favorite cricket team dash around the field, like a bunch of blimey idiots, while you get roasted as a Georgia Peanut, on Guinness Stout. Hell, while you are watching at the bar,you and your mate can check each other for signs of cancer. The Cricket Club Pavilion adjacent to the Cricket Club of Nassau offers classic British fare such as steak and kidney pie, shepherd pie, fish and chips, roast beef sandwiches, and of course, delicious British and Bahamian beer. Bahamian specialties include conch fritters and conch chowder. Breakfasts are strictly British with toast, jam and tea. Owners Connie and Chris are there to explain the rules of Cricket to newcomers, as well as to explain why you should register with your embassy when visiting Nassau (it helps when notifying next-of-kin). But be forewarned, they are also ready to toss your bleedin' arse out if you make funny smacking noises at the birds, while you roll your eyes and tongue!
