We had an amazing time. The house was clean and very well kept. Plenty of space for 3 couples and a baby. The screened in porch is a beautiful additional living space. There are some life jackets , snorkel gear and a paddle board for use while there. Also plenty of beach towels.
Beautiful and private. Enjoyed snorkeling directly off the properties ladder in the cove just south. Light house beach was our favorite spot we visited on the island , worth the 2 mile walk on the beach. Such a beautiful quiet island. The host was Very nice and responded quickly.

We loved Bella Mer! It was private and quaint — had almost everything we could have needed. Loved the back yard/ocean access. We enjoyed snorkeling around the point to the left and down toward Kemp’s Creek — we saw Teddy the turtle and stingrays, many fish, starfish, etc. It was fairly close to Governor’s Harbor (20 min) & maybe 30 min from the airport. We explored far north and far south, and this location made that convenient! The bed was SO COMFY too — one of the better ones we have ever slept on in a VRBO/Airbnb. If I were to give any tips at all, I would say that it would be handy to have scissors in the kitchen and bars of soap available for showering and also some drinking water, since the tap water is not recommended to drink. Finding the bottle and where to get water was a bit confusing but we figured it out with Tennielle’s help ($5.50 for a 5 gallon refill at a local store). Nice to be able to text her with questions! Handy! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay — we loved it!!!

We stayed at Bella Mer November 25 - December 4. The location was accurate and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Although we did read about how bad the roads were there, it was a little unexpected as to just how much. Tennielle was very helpful and told us about a different/better road to use. After a couple of days we were used to the conditions of all the roads anyway. The layout and amenities were perfect! The house was spotless and we absolutely loved the screened in patio!! We were provided with suggestions for activities and restaurants and found plenty of sunshine and beaches to enjoy. My only recommendation would be to call a restaurant (if there is a number) before traveling to it. We found many had totally different hours and days that they were open. Definitely having food at home for a back up is a bonus.
We really enjoyed swimming at the house in our own private area too! The water was perfect!! Tennielle answered any and all questions promptly and was VERY helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone.

Our party of 3 adults & 2 kids under 10 years old had a great time at Bella Mer. We enjoyed the well appointed house & surroundings. We had wonderful snorkeling experiences swimming towards Ten bay and in Kemp’s Creek. The water trampoline was a bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed our time at Bella Mer. The house is very well appointed and is exactly as described and was immaculately clean upon our arrival . It has everything you might want or need to prepare your own meals. We especially enjoyed the dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer as we didn’t have to bring as much. The screened in porch is great for morning coffee and coming in from the water.
Tennielle, the caretaker ,was very friendly and accommodating. She let us put our cold groceries in the refrigerator early as we were coming to Bella Mer from a few days in Rainbow Bay and had to check out there at 10:00am.
The snorkeling from Bella Mer is fantastic! Go left and follow the rocky shoreline past the Kemp’s Creek opening about 100 yards. There are Protruding rocks with channels to swim through. We saw nurse sharks, sea turtles, huge crabs, starfish, sting rays and millions of fish. We snorkeled every day except our Lighthouse Beach day (highly recommend) and did two night snorkels, one night starting right in front of Bella Mer.
Ten Bay beach is right around the corner and is a perfect calm beach. And lastly, the sunsets from Bella Mer are beautiful. We will definitely be back!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! The road is not treacherous, but it is a dirt road, so an SUV is recommended. The house has been rented continually for a year, and no other guest has complained about the road, so it should not be an issue with the right vehicle.

The house was clean and well stocked, with an incredible outdoor area where we could end each day relaxing in the water. We really enjoyed the stay.
By far, the best selling point of this house was the backup generator. Power went out multiple times while we were in Eleuthera, and the generator here kicked on each time. We spent a couple of days in a different house where we had to sleep in the heat - we were thrilled when it was time for Bella Mer!
The road to the house is pretty rough, but we got used to it quickly in our SUV. I'd recommend bringing sealable bags for any open food, as there were some ants that got into things a couple of times, but there was bug spray under the sink and that took care of it. Nothing you wouldn't expect at any house in a remote area.

Bella Mer is everything that's described and then some. The house has everything you need. It's immaculately clean (thank you Tennielle), the kitchen is fabulous if you plan on cooking, and Ten Bay beach is literally just around the bend. The road to the house is pretty bad as other reviews noted, but once you're there, you'll love the remoteness and privacy. The floating trampoline is nice for sunning or just grab a float from the porch and a cold beer and float around in the water. Don't hesitate to rent this house; you won't be disappointed.

This house is amazing! It has an amazing view, access to the water, TONS of water toys including water shoes, snorkel fins, masks, various floats, and even paddle boards. The house was very clean and stocked with all the necessities that we needed such as toilet paper, towels, and every dish you would need. The washer and dryer came in handy to wash the beach towels that are provided as well. The road is a little bumpy to get to the house but completely worth it. It also has a screened in porch which was a life saver and let us still be able to enjoy the view and being outside without getting bit by the dreaded no-see-ums that come out around dusk. We contacted the property manager about check out and she responded very quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone. Queens bath and the blue hole at the north end of the island were amazing! All the food was amazing too!

We really enjoyed our 6 nights at Bella Mer. The house has a very nice layout and we couldn't get enough of the water and view. We are a family of 4 (teenage kids) and the house was a perfect size for us. Definitely recommend that you rent a car that is higher off the ground and has 4 wheel drive so that you're able to navigate the 1 mile road to the house.
